How do I post a job?

How long are job postings good for?
Job postings are good for 30 days.

How do I extend/repost my position?
Your account manager will help you extend your posting period over the initial 30 days. You can contact your account manager directly or send us an email through the "contact us page." |

How do I reply to a posting?
When posting a position, you have four different application methods to choose from. You can request that a student apply by email, fax, phone, in person, or through a website.
a. Email:
When a student applies for you position by email, you will be sent an email when a student applies. The email will contain a message to you from the student. Some students will also attach their resumes. After receiving this email, you can contact the student directly (outside of Zippyjobs) to set up a time to schedule an interview and continue the process. You can also log back into Zippyjobs to see the student’s profile and reply from there.
b. Fax:
When a student applies by fax, you will receive a fax directly from the student to the contact name and number that you provide when you post a position. After receiving this fax, you can contact the student directly (outside of Zippyjobs) to set up a time to schedule an interview and continue the process. You can also log back into Zippyjobs to see the student’s profile and contact them through the site.
c. Phone:
When a student applies by phone, you will receive calls directly from the student to the contact name and number that you provide when you post a position. After receiving this telephone call, you can contact the student directly (outside of Zippyjobs) to set up a time to schedule an interview and continue the process. You can also log back into Zippyjobs to see the student’s profile and contact them through the site.
d. In person:
When a student applies in person, the student will go to the location of the job and request the name that you provided when you posted the position.
e. Website:
When a student applies by website, we will direct students to the web URL that you provided. After receiving this application, you can contact the student directly (outside of Zippyjobs) to set up a time to schedule an interview and continue the process. You can also log back into Zippyjobs to see the student’s profile and contact them through the site.

How do I login/access my account?
When you first post a job, you will be asked to register for a free account. The email that you give at that time and the password that you decide upon will become your username and password for future use. The first welcome email your receive from us will also provide your login information as a reminder. Should you forget your password, you can use the “forgot password” option from the homepage so we can email you a reminder immediately. |

How do I edit/inactivate my posting?
You can update or inactivate your posting through your account page. After logging into your account, click on “update my jobs” on the left side bar of your account and select the appropriate option. |

How do I search for students?
To search for students, you must log into your account. After logging into your account, select “Find Students” on the left side bar of your account. After selecting find students, you can search for students based on major, university, and time availability. You will also be able to communicate with students from there. |

How do I add/update my company logo?
To add or update your company logo, log into your account and then select edit profile. After selecting edit profile, you will see a tab titled logo. After selecting the logo tab, you can upload your logo to your account. |

How do I check the activity that my job posting has received?
To check the activity for your job postings, you must log into your account. After logging into your account, you will see a box titled “My Job Posting Statistics”. This box outlines how many students have viewed your position and how many students decided to apply for the position. |

How much should I pay a student?
You have total control over how much you decide to offer a job. However, most jobs pay between 10 and 15 dollars an hour. |

How should I pay the student?
For one-time jobs with households, we recommend paying the student in cash. However, for traditional part-time jobs and internships, payment can be whatever form you decide. |

Can I buy more than one job posting at a discounted price?
If you plan to post multiple job postings and want to discuss a discounted rate, please contact us so you can speak with one of our account managers. |

I have a promotional code. How do I use it?
Promotional codes can be entered in the Step 3 (Payment Method) of the posting process. After you type in your code, click the “Apply” button and you will see the discounted price in your total. |

How do I view my job posting once it’s published?
After you have entered of the required information, Step 3 (Confirmation) allows you to preview your job posting before it is published. Once your posting is live, you can go to your account page and select view profile on the left panel. After selecting view profile, you can view your jobs by selecting on the job links below the title “Available jobs.” |

How long after I submit my payment will my posting become live and viewable on the site?
To ensure the safety of our students, we perform random checks on employers that post positions on our site. Depending on when your purchase is made, this check could delay when your posting becomes viewable to job seekers. On average, it will take about 24 – 48 hours after your payment is received for your posting to be live. |
